It's time once again for the visual arts tradition to commence!

The 24th Annual CCA Art Show will be held at the Fife Opera House in Palestine again this year. This show has been at the Fife every year since 1992, and we heartily thank the Palestine Preservation Projects Society for its cooperation and support of this show for the 18th year in a row!

CCA again welcomes First Robinson Savings Bank as sponsor of the art show. The show will be open to the public April 15th through 27th.

We are excited about this year's exhibit. We encourage you to come support your fellow artists and enjoy this fresh display of fine art from our communities!

CCA Literary Awards

Crawford County Literary Awards were presented at the Crawford County Arts 24th Annual Art Show last Saturday evening at the Fife Opera House in Palestine, IL. Lonnie Devin was the presenter and chair of the competition.

Winners were:

Second in Poetry: L'amore è la vita by Ben Kennedy
First in Fiction: Pink Morning by Willa Meehan
Second in Fiction: The Train Ride by Loretta Midgett
First in Non-Fiction: Who Do You Want For a Neighbor: Republicanism and Race in the 1824 Illinois Convention Election by Eric Gubelman

Judging was Johathan Cook, Author of Youth and Other Fictions Jonathan M. Cook is a high school English teacher at Robinson High School. . He earned his MA in Literature from Eastern Illinois University. He currently lives in Robinson, IL, where he is working on his second novel and grading term papers.
